The camel shrimp is one of the cheapest shrimp in the marine hobby.  It's colors are stunning and are very beautiful with emerald green eyes which literally watch you.  Unfortunatly there is a drawback about keeping this shrimp they just love eating polyps.  Yellow polyps, mushrooms and button polyps fallen victim to these shrimp.  Although personally having a bad experience with these shrimp many have never had a single problem.  Their are called rosy dancing shrimp because they will do a little dance when standing still and is very entertaining.  They will except almost any type of food offered and they do the most damage to soft corals though when the lights are off.  They do not get along well with cleaner shrimp and they will quarrel.  Because of these problems I have experienced with these shrimp i would only reccomend them for a tank with no soft corals and lots of live rock ( they are extremly good scavengers).  The deserve rating of 2.5 because they have large drawbacks but are inexpensive, active, good scavengers, and have fairly long lifespan.
